Love Me Now When I Am Alive

I am still
The world is in the past
All memories are gone
My eyes, beauty beholdeth not

Neither nose enjoy the flower scents aroma
My heart can’t appreciate
I am too weak to smile
My flesh has wasted
Cup of coffee can’t enjoy

As I lay in the pit
All I can remember is hate, pain

While I needed them most
They fled
Today they stand on the ground
And weep in sorrowful tears

One has bought the suit I am having
Money has been poured
To buy me a golden casket

Yet I died
Because the doctor couldn’t attend me without money

Flowers bought to bloom on my grave
My lover has engraved on my eulogy
“My beloved husband”
Yet no single day
Have I heard that word

I am gone not to return
I wished today was my world
But that world has gone

I wish I could talk today
Tell people to go home
And save me from the pretense

But here I lie
Cold as ice
I can’t speak

I wanted to tell the world
To cherish me like today
But I am voiceless

O world, love me today
While I can smile back
And love you more.

I love this piece. So true,,,it makes no point to show love at the grave where it can never be reciprocated yet we had the chance to love others while they were still alive.

Yes, we need to appreciate people when they can still see and respond back. Cheers!
